Wooden Tracing Wheel (Marking Wheel)
The classic tool that is indispensable for anyone who does pattern making and cutting. The Tracing Wheel (Ref. D745) was specially designed to quickly and accurately transfer paper patterns to fabric.
With a timeless and durable design, it features an ergonomic solid wood handle that offers a comfortable grip during prolonged use. Its well-defined steel teeth (serrated) grip the paper and fabric perfectly, ensuring that the transfer lines do not slip or shake during the process. It is the ideal tool for marking seam lines, hems, pleats, pocket holes, and darts.
How to Use (The Perfect Pair):
The tracing wheel should be used in conjunction with carbon/tracing paper for sewing (e.g., Burda paper). Place the tracing paper on the fabric, overlay the pattern, and roll the tracing wheel over the lines with pressure. The serrated wheel will press the ink from the carbon paper against the fabric, leaving an exact dotted marking where you should sew.
Suitable for:
-
Medium to heavy-weight fabrics (cotton, denim, twill, wool, and felt) where firm pressure is needed.
(Note: For extremely delicate fabrics such as silk or fine satin, a smooth-edge tracing wheel is recommended).
