Lower Blade for Serger / Overlock (Ref. 68014359)

Maintaining your cutting system is the secret to perfect overlock stitching and finishes. This is the lower blade (fixed knife) that works in conjunction with the upper blade to trim excess fabric as the machine finishes the seam edge.
When the machine starts pushing or "chewing" fabrics instead of cutting them cleanly, the cause is often a dull lower knife. A worn lower blade will also ruin the cutting edge of a new upper knife in just a few minutes, requiring its replacement.
