Lower Knife for Overlock / Serger PFAFF (Ref. 29-924993-81/704)

Maintaining your overlocker's cutting system is the secret to professional overlocking. This is the lower blade (fixed knife) that works in conjunction with the moving upper blade to trim excess fabric as the machine finishes the seam edge.
When the machine starts pushing or "chewing" fabrics instead of cutting them cleanly, the cause is often a dull lower knife. A worn or damaged lower blade will also ruin the cutting edge of a new upper blade in a matter of minutes, requiring the replacement of the part to restore the original factory finish.
