Lower Knife for Overlock Machine (Ref. 98-788013-00/900)

Maintaining your cutting system is the secret to professional overlock stitching. This is the lower blade (fixed blade) that works in conjunction with the upper blade to trim excess fabric as the machine finishes the edge of the seam.
When the machine starts pushing or "chewing" thicker fabrics instead of cutting them cleanly, the cause is often a blunt lower blade. A worn lower blade or one with small pin nicks will also ruin the cutting edge of a new upper blade in minutes, requiring its replacement.
