Lower Looper for Overlock Husqvarna Viking / Pfaff (Ref. 68019568)

The lower looper is one of the fundamental mechanical parts in forming an overlock stitch. Working in sync with the needle and the upper looper, this metal arm guides the thread under the edge of the fabric, creating the characteristic intertwined finish typical of overlock stitching.
When the operator pulls the fabric incorrectly, a fabric that is too thick blocks the feed, or lint accumulates, the needle can deflect and hit the tip of the looper. A lower looper with a scratched, bent or deformed tip will cause constant thread breakage, skipped stitches, or completely prevent stitch formation.
