Lower Looper for PFAFF Overlock (Ref. 416325601)

The lower looper is one of the fundamental mechanical parts in the formation of the overlock stitch. Working in sync with the needle and the upper looper, this metal arm guides the thread under the edge of the fabric, creating the characteristic intertwined finish typical of serger sewing.
When the operator pulls the fabric incorrectly, a fabric that is too thick blocks the feed, or there is an accumulation of lint, the needle can deviate and hit the tip of the looper. A lower looper with a scratched, bent or deformed tip will cause constant thread breakage, skipped stitches, or completely prevent the seam from forming.
