Needle Plate for Singer Serger / Overlock (Ref. 68004423)

This is the overlock-specific needle plate used in the Singer S14-78 and equivalent models from other brands. It is the metal plate on which the fabric rests and through which the needle(s) perforate, working in conjunction with the loopers to form the overlock stitch.

When the needle hits the plate (due to deviation, bent needle, or threading error), marks, burrs, or even small deformations occur in the hole and grooves. This causes frequent thread breakage, irregular stitches, and can even "swallow" delicate fabrics into the machine. Replacing this plate provides a smooth and aligned surface, restoring the correct stitch formation.
