Needle Plate for Overlock Machine (Ref. G1041)
This metallic, one-piece needle plate is fundamental for the correct stitch formation in overlock machines. It is on the fine pins (also called stitch-forming fingers) located at the upper end of this plate that the machine's threads interlace before sliding to wrap around the fabric edge.
The part features "N" (Normal stitching) and "R" (Rolled Hem) markings engraved on the metal, serving as a guide for setting the desired stitch type. Due to its extreme proximity to the moving needles, any scratch, break, or bend in the pins of this plate will result in irregular or pulled stitches, or frequent thread breakage.
