Needle Plate for Pfaff (Ref. 93-032089-91)
The needle plate is the metal plate where the fabric rests while the needle pierces and forms the stitch on a domestic sewing machine. Thanks to its oval opening, it allows the needle to pass through in various positions, making it essential for zigzag and decorative stitches. It is through this opening and the side grooves that the thread is guided and the fabric advances uniformly, ensuring precise and versatile stitches.
When the needle strikes the plate (bent needle, incorrect assembly, or thick fabric), marks and burrs are created that snag the thread, cause skipped stitches, and can damage delicate fabrics. Replacing the plate is the reliable solution to restore a perfect finish.
