Needle Plate for Pfaff (Ref. 93-040089-45)
The needle plate is the metal plate where the fabric rests while the needle pierces and forms the stitch on a domestic sewing machine. Designed specifically for models with an integrated dual feed system (IDT), it has the necessary rear cutout for the upper feed dog to pass through. Thanks to its oval opening, it allows the needle to pass in various positions, making it essential for zigzag and decorative stitches.
When the needle hits the plate (bent needle, incorrect installation, or thick fabric), marks and burrs are created that snag the thread, cause skipped stitches, and can damage delicate fabrics. Replacing the plate is the reliable solution to restore a perfect finish.
