Needle Plate for PFAFF Overlock (Ref. 29‑924993‑70/776)
The needle plate is the metal plate where the fabric rests while the needles pierce and the loopers form the overlock stitch. It is through the hole and the grooves of this plate that the thread is guided, ensuring that the fabric is cut and finished always in the same position and with the same width.
When the needle hits the plate (bent needle, incorrect assembly or too thick fabric), marks and burrs are created that start to snag the thread, cause skipped stitches and, in fine fabrics, pull the material into the machine. In this situation, replacing the plate is essential to recover a clean and regular finish.

Important notice
This plate belongs to a family of very similar Pfaff Hobbylock models (774, 776, 784, 786, 787, 788), so it is easy to order the wrong reference.
Before buying, always confirm:
-
The exact model of your machine (this reference was designed for Pfaff Hobbylock 774 and 776).
-
If the shape of the holes and cutouts of the plate in the photo corresponds to the original plate of your machine.
After assembly, turn the handwheel several times by hand to ensure that the needles enter and exit the hole without touching metal and that the feed dogs do not scrape the plate, before using the foot pedal normally.
