Pfaff Ditch Quilting Foot for IDT (Ref. 820925096)
The Stitch-in-Ditch Foot is an absolutely essential accessory for lovers of patchwork, quilting, and even garment making. As the name suggests, its design allows for perfect and almost invisible topstitching exactly over an existing seam line (the "ditch" of the seam), making it ideal for quilting the top of a quilt, attaching binding, or discreetly and professionally securing waistbands.
This foot stands out for having an extended central metal guide that acts as a rudder along the fabric: simply position the seam line or the fabric crease against this guide to ensure that the needle always penetrates exactly in the center of the seam, from start to finish. The guide glides smoothly over the seam ditch, preventing unwanted deviations and ensuring an immaculate straight line, even when working on bulky seams or multiple layers of fabric.
This model was designed with a specific rear cut-out to work in conjunction with Pfaff's IDT system (integrated dual feed), ensuring that the various layers (such as the patchwork top, batting, and backing) advance at exactly the same controlled speed. It is compatible with Pfaff machine groups B, C, D, E, F, G, J, K, and L.
