Pfaff Zipper Foot for IDT (Ref. 820248096)
The Zipper Foot is the classic and essential tool for applying regular zippers (non-invisible zippers) to any type of garment. Its design allows the foot to be attached to the machine on the left or right side of the center pin, which enables you to sew as close as possible to the zipper teeth on both sides, without ever needing to turn the entire project over.
Despite its zipper-focused name, this narrow side-fitting design also makes it extremely useful for other sewing techniques that require precision around bulky areas, such as applying tapes, decorative piping, or close seams to bindings and rings.
Technically, it is a snap-on foot that has the necessary rear cutout to interact with the integrated dual feed system (IDT). The use of IDT in conjunction with this foot is highly recommended, as it ensures that the two layers of fabric advance at the same speed during zipper application, preventing the fabric from waving or pulling.
