Cording/Piping Foot for Large Cords (Ref. 820530096)
The Welting Foot works on the same principle as the regular piping foot but is specifically designed to accommodate much larger and thicker cords. Its base has a considerably wider and deeper channel, allowing the thick cord to slide freely and perfectly aligned under the needle, without pulling or snagging.
This presser foot is considered an indispensable accessory for interior decoration and upholstery projects (home dec), being widely used to create and apply large piping on sofa cushions, mattresses, ottomans, or to cover your own cording to create structured finishes on pieces that require a prominent edge.
Unlike the Grand Piping Foot, which is explicitly designed for use with IDT engaged, the Welting Foot (820530096) does not have the rear cut-out for the IDT system. As it is a solid-built presser foot also intended for older machines in groups A, B, and C, your Pfaff's integrated dual feed must be disengaged before use. It is compatible with machine groups A, B, C, D, E, F, G, J, K, and L.
