Open Toe Free Motion Foot for Pfaff (Ref. 820988096)
The Open Toe Free-Motion Foot is a fantastic accessory for anyone dedicated to free-motion embroidery, stippling, and manual quilting. Its design features a "U"-shaped base with an extra-wide front cutout that removes any visual barrier between the sewist's eyes and the needle. This wide opening is crucial for an unobstructed view of your work, allowing you to follow marking lines, fill delicate outlines, or create intricate embroidery patterns effortlessly.
The main difference between this model and traditional ones (and the spring-loaded model) is its Sensormatic design, which operates in suspension. The foot floats just above the fabric as the needle goes up and down, giving you complete freedom to move the patchwork piece in any direction without the base pressing or scraping the material. Additionally, the bases have markings (vertical and horizontal) that serve as useful reference points during your quilting creations.
Since it is a presser foot designed for free-motion sewing, it does not use the machine's integrated dual feed (IDT) system. During use, the machine's feed dogs should be lowered, and the user takes full control of the speed and direction in which the fabric advances. This specific presser foot is designed for Pfaff K group machines (such as the Ambition 610, 620, 630 series, Creative 1.5, and Passport).
