Pfaff Zipper Foot for IDT (Ref. 820287096)
The Zipper Foot is the most important tool for sewing conventional zippers with a perfect and professional finish. Its asymmetrical design allows the presser foot to be attached to the machine on either the left or right side. This ensures that you can always sew as close as possible to the edge of the zipper teeth on both sides, without having to reverse the fabric halfway through the process.
In addition to its main function in zipper application, its narrow profile makes it indispensable for sewing in areas where there is no room for a wider presser foot. It is extremely useful for applying thick decorative ribbons, closing piping and rings, or for sewing close to snap fasteners and very bulky seams.
In terms of assembly, it is a snap-on foot specifically designed to interact with the IDT™ system (integrated dual feed). Its use in conjunction with the upper feed ensures that the zipper edges and the two layers of fabric advance synchronously, preventing waving and puckered seams.
