Pfaff Invisible Zipper Foot (Ref. 820474096)
The invisible zipper foot is the essential tool for applying zippers that are completely hidden in the garment's seam, with only the puller visible. The lower base of this presser foot has two parallel grooves or tunnels that serve to unroll and guide the zipper teeth as the machine sews.
This design allows the needle to penetrate the fabric as close as possible to the base of the zipper teeth, without the risk of piercing or crushing them, resulting in a perfectly aligned haute couture finish. It is a presser foot widely used in the making of dresses, skirts, decorative pillows, and tailored trousers, where the aim is for the fabric joint to appear as a continuous and uninterrupted seam.
In terms of fitting, it is a snap-on part that replaces the normal presser foot. During the application of the invisible zipper, the IDT system is not used.
