The Join and Fold Edging Foot is an accessory designed to fold the edge of a base fabric and simultaneously sew lace, ribbon, or decorative trim onto it in a single step. On the front of the presser foot, there are two distinct grooves or guides: the base fabric passes through one of the guides (which perfectly folds its edge), while the ribbon or trim enters through the other groove to ensure perfect alignment under the needle.
This presser foot is particularly useful for applying lace to lingerie, hemming scarves, or creating tablecloths with decorative edges without the need for basting first. Since it is specifically designed to work with the IDT system (Pfaff's integrated dual feed mechanism), the layers of fabric and lace feed completely evenly, preventing materials from slipping or puckering during sewing.
