Hemming Foot 5 mm Husqvarna Viking (Ref. 4118517-45)
The 5 mm Hemmer Foot is an original Husqvarna Viking accessory designed to create narrow double hems with a clean and even finish. As its name suggests, the design of this presser foot automatically rolls the edge of the fabric to form a 5 mm hem, being the narrower version of the classic hemmer foot.
This presser foot works through a spiral guide that folds and guides the fabric during sewing, eliminating the need to pre-fold or baste the piece beforehand. Simply insert the edge of the fabric into the guide and sew with a straight stitch, achieving a uniform, elegant hem with a very precise finish in a single pass, especially suitable for lightweight fabrics.
It is an easy-to-attach accessory and retailers present it as compatible with several Husqvarna Viking models, including models 51, 1100, and others of the same generation. Its use is especially recommended for scarves, blouses, veils, ribbons, and other projects where the hem needs to be particularly narrow and discreet.
