The 2 mm Shell Rolled Hem Foot, internationally designated as 2 mm Shell Rolled Hem Foot, is an original Husqvarna Viking accessory designed to create very narrow and delicate rolled hems with a scalloped look. This presser foot is the thinnest in its category, rolling the edge of the fabric to form a hem of only 2 mm, which results in an extremely light and discreet couture finish.

The spiral guide on the presser foot continuously folds the fabric as the machine sews. To achieve the shell effect, this accessory is used in conjunction with a zigzag stitch (for example, with a length of 10.0 and a width between 4 and 6). When sewing, the needle pulls the edge of the fabric inwards at regular intervals, creating a subtle gathering and a decorative wavy finish, all without the need to pre-fold the hem by hand.

It is a simple snap-on presser foot and is catalogued as compatible with most Husqvarna Viking machines, covering groups 1 to 8.
